Mission
The idea for creating Saintland came about some years ago when I was going through my own personal "Veil of Tears". Life can present us with different challenges that offer a real struggle to overcome and proceed through. There is a profound truth to the saying that "life is difficult". Yet even more profound is that there is always hope. That hope is at the very core of what it means to be one who follows Christ.
Though the path that we find ourself is often frought with a mydrid of sufferings, pains, fears and sorrows, we should hold fast to our faith in Christ. He is the Good Sheppard who will never leave us, in spite of ourselves. That is the mystery of His unconditional love for us. The Good News is that it is by way of His love, a sacraficical love that He freely gave His very life in order to redeem us from sin and death that we are called to follow Him. He calls each one of us into a relationship with Him, through which He leads us to know His Father and the Spirit of Love itself.
What one will soon realize that our relationship with God is not within a vacuum. Just as God is in relationship with Himself, by way of the Mystery of the Holy Trinity (the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are in full complete union with One another) which is grounded within the core foundation of love. It is love that inherently and innatley always moves out of itself. Love always freely gives, for the source of love is God Himself which always gives of Himself. Love is grounded within relationships, which brings us to those indivudals who are the friends of God, which is another way of saying Gods saints.
We are all called to be saints, for we are all called to be friends of God. What is so fascinating about the saints is that they are just like us, with all of the same problems and challenges that we face, yet what makes one a saint is that they were continually faithful to God. They would fall into the same difficulties and sins that we are prone to, yet they would pick themselves up and keep on striving to follow Christ and give themselves over to His call.
The saints of God are now in full union with Him in Heaven and are interceeding to God on our behalf. They are our fellow brothers and sisters by way of the love of God. How fortunaelty for us to have recourse to the saints, who offer us inspiration and fellowship on our journey with God.
